Jordi Mercader is a prominent economics and business professional, with extensive experience in various fields of the business and university world. Born in Sabadell, he graduated in Economics and Business at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He also has a Law Degree from the University of Nebrija.

 

Subsequently, he continued his academic training with a Master's Degree in Marketing and Distribution, and another in Buying/Selling Companies and in General Management, from the prestigious IESE Business School. During his studies, Jordi stood out for his analytical ability and his commitment to excellence, which allowed him to obtain a solid theoretical and practical foundation in various aspects of business management.

 

His professional experience began in 1995, when he founded a leading consultancy company in his field, Mercaconsult. In the year 2000, he began his participation as a Business Angel in numerous technology projects. Likewise, he was a member of the board of directors of industrial and service companies, in which he also assumed positions on the family council. In 2008, together with other executives, he participated in the constitution of the first venture capital company specializing in seed capital, where he was a director. Thanks to this activity, Jordi became an expert in the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities, and in the management of business projects from their initial phases.

 

During the years, Jordi served as a business advisor, focused on the development of technological, family, property, and legal projects. In this field, he specialized in identifying business opportunities in the most dynamic sectors of the economy, such as technology, electronic commerce, and digital services.

 

In 2014, he established a Venture Builder specialized in legal tech, with which he develops 10 business projects of different kinds. Currently, he is the president of a group with more than 40 partners, national and international, and based in Spain, Venezuela, and Germany.

 

At Mercainvest he develops corporate projects (mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising) and advises family and personal assets.

 

During his career, Jordi has been a member of the faculty of various universities in Barcelona, such as the Pompeu Fabra University, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and the Ramon Llull University, where he has taught economics and business management classes.

 

His recognized teaching and communication skills have allowed him to pass on his knowledge and experience to several generations of young students, who have valued his practical and innovative approach.

 

In 2017, Jordi moved his firm to Estonia, with the aim of promoting his activity in the field of international investment and new technologies. Currently, the firm has offices in Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville, and continues to be a benchmark in the business and university world, thanks to its commitment to innovation, excellence, and the well-being of its clients.
